Ore Factory Squad Antiques & Scrap: Where to Sell

Sell Antiques at the Pawn Shop and Scrap at the Waste Collection Center, keep the two routes separate, and avoid wasting storage or Dynamite.

Quick answer

Take Antiques to the Pawn Shop and take Scrap to the Waste Collection Center. They are two different sale routes. Our recommendation is to keep each material in its own small staging pile, make one clean delivery when you have several pieces, and turn the space back into cash. Do not feed Scrap into a Smelting Furnace, and do not wait for a copied “best cave” coordinate.

Where each item goes

Item Destination Best use of your time
Antique Pawn Shop Put finds aside while doing normal mining, then sell several in one trip
Scrap Waste Collection Center Separate it from production inputs and sell it instead of sending it through factory machines

The official Steam achievements make this split clear: One Man's Treasure asks you to sell 10 Antiques at the Pawn Shop, while Scrap Dealer asks you to sell 25 Scrap at the Waste Collection Center.

The route we recommend

  1. Keep mining for the resource or contract you actually need.
  2. When you pick up an Antique or Scrap, store it separately from recipe materials.
  3. Do not redesign the factory around either item.
  4. When the pile is worth a trip, load only one category so the destination is obvious.
  5. Take Antiques to the Pawn Shop or Scrap to the Waste Collection Center.
  6. Check the relevant Steam achievement after the sale if you are chasing completion.

This route is deliberately boring, and that is why it works: the unusual find becomes cash without interrupting the production line.

Should you save Antiques or Scrap?

Usually, no. Sell them.

Keep an item only when you can name the current reason: an accepted contract needs it, you are about to test a specific mechanic, or you are collecting a small batch for one delivery. “It might become useful later” is not a good reason to fill storage in a game where blocked handoffs already create enough trouble.

Where to find more

Do not follow fixed cave coordinates from another player's save. Mining sites and Secret Caves are generated, so another player's route is not a dependable farming plan. Clear the property for the materials you already need, inspect unusual pickups as you go, and treat Antiques and Scrap as useful side finds.

The Ore Detector is not an Antique detector. Use it for the selected resource target shown by the game, not as a promise that it will lead to collectibles. If your real problem is opening caves, use the Secret Cave and Dynamite guide instead of wasting explosives on a collectible hunt.

Common mistakes

Sending Scrap into production

Scrap belongs at the Waste Collection Center. Keep it out of the Copper, Iron, Cement, Bronze, and Steel production routes.

Mixing the two destinations

The Pawn Shop handles Antiques. The Waste Collection Center handles Scrap. If a delivery does not match the named buyer, stop and check the item before moving more cargo.

Hoarding everything

Storage space and attention are more valuable than a mystery pile. Sell a reasonable batch and get back to the factory bottleneck that is actually holding progression.

Blasting forever for one more find

Do not keep spending Dynamite because a cave “should” contain something. Open a cave for the cave task; collect any useful find; leave when the next blast has no clear purpose.
