Ore Factory Squad: Too Much Clay & No Money at Level 5

Turn a Level 5 Clay pile and cash shortage into the next useful sale, Contract, or production decision without wasting more time underground.

Quick answer

If you are at Level 5 with too much Clay and almost no cash, stop digging more Clay. First separate what you own into three groups: raw Clay, finished products that can appear in Stock Sell, and stock needed for a Contract you can actually finish. Sell usable finished surplus first; process Clay only when the current recipe screen shows a product you can make and sell or deliver with the machines you already own.

Do not assume raw Clay itself will solve the cash problem. Also do not buy another machine merely to use the pile until you have checked the complete input, output, and sale route.

Run this five-minute recovery check

  1. Stop the Clay input so the pile does not keep growing.
  2. Open the current Contract interface and note any order you can complete from existing stock.
  3. Open Stock Sell with the available-stock filter and identify finished products already visible there.
  4. Reserve only the items required for the achievable Contract; sell finished surplus when immediate cash is the priority.
  5. If no finished item appears, inspect the current machine recipes that accept Clay and choose only a route whose next machine and output destination are already available.

The Stock Sell guide explains why finished goods must reach marked warehouse storage before they appear. The Contracts and Pallet Packer guide covers packing and delivery when a Contract is the better route.

Raw Clay is not the same as sellable stock

What you have Useful next check What not to assume
Raw Clay current recipe screen and available machines that raw Clay has a direct Stock Sell route
Finished Clay-based product marked storage and Stock Sell availability that yesterday's price or demand is still current
Contract-ready finished stock remaining quantity, deadline, and delivery route that every Contract is better than an immediate sale
Mixed or unmarked pallets identify item and destination first that the warehouse will sort an unclear pile automatically

If the product is finished but missing from Stock Sell, fix the inventory route before making more. If the Contract requires a product you cannot manufacture with the current unlocks, do not let that order consume all available cash and storage attention.

Contract or Stock Sell?

Use Stock Sell when you need liquidity now and the finished surplus is already tracked in warehouse stock. Use a Contract when the requested product is achievable, the stock can be protected, and the delivery can be completed before the deadline. A Contract that blocks the factory or cannot be finished is not a fast-money route.

The official patch notes do not publish one permanent best product, Clay conversion, or universal price table. Check current demand and unit price in the game before committing the whole pile. For the wider purchase decision after the cash problem is stable, use the upgrade and license guide.

What about a loan?

The current public sources checked for this page do not confirm loan availability or terms. Look through the computer applications in your current build; if no loan option is shown, plan the recovery around existing stock, feasible Contracts, and production you can already complete. Do not budget around money that the game has not offered.
