Ore Factory Squad Off-Site Mining Training Guide
Choose crate capacity, efficiency, or oil extraction training from the bottleneck visible in your current Miner workflow.
Quick answer
Choose Off-Site Mining Training from the bottleneck you can repeatedly see. For a mixed non-oil operation, start with crate capacity only when Miner crates regularly fill before the job is useful. Choose Efficiency only when the current in-game description matches the limitation you can observe; the official announcement does not define what that label changes. Choose oil extraction only after you are actually running the oil path and off-site oil work is the constraint.
That is a limited editorial starting rule, not an official best order. The v1.1.0 announcement confirms that the training tree can improve Miner crate capacity, efficiency, and oil extraction ability, but it does not publish prices, ranks, multipliers, or a universal payback calculation.

Match the training direction to the symptom
| Repeated condition in your save | Start with | Switch when |
|---|---|---|
| Miner crates are filling before the work produces the amount you need | Crate capacity | the crates stop being the first visible limit |
| The current Efficiency description matches a repeated Miner limitation in your save | Efficiency | that observed limitation is no longer first |
| Your active production goal depends on oil and off-site oil extraction is the blocked stage | Oil extraction ability | the oil side is no longer the first constraint |
| You cannot identify a repeated Miner bottleneck | Wait | one condition above becomes observable |
Do not choose a branch only because it sounds late-game. First confirm that the normal employee and Off-Site Contract workflow is functioning.
Use a before-and-after check
- Pick one recurring Miner job that matters to your current factory.
- Record what stops the job from being useful: crate space, the condition named by the current Efficiency description, or oil extraction.
- Change only the matching training direction.
- Repeat the same type of job under comparable conditions.
- Keep the choice only if the original blocker improves; otherwise reassess the route, contract, or production demand.
You do not need a percentage or exact return time for this check. Changing one thing at a time keeps other upgrades from hiding which decision helped.
Do not confuse training with contract selection
The update also rebalances later Off-Site Contracts to better align with upgraded Miner Employees. That does not mean every offered contract is profitable, achievable, or suitable for the current warehouse. Check whether you can actually use or deliver the returning material before spending around it.
For contract acceptance and pallet delivery, use the Contracts and Pallet Packer guide. For broader purchase decisions, compare the current bottleneck in the upgrade and license guide.
When oil changes the decision
Oil extraction is a separate training direction because v1.1.0 adds an oil production layer. Do not take it as the default for a save that has not reached a usable Oil Reserve or completed the transport handoff. First establish the chain with the Masters of Oil guide; then return here only if off-site oil extraction is the repeated limit.
The official notes do not define training multipliers, costs, ranks, exact unlock conditions, or one best branch for all saves. Use the current in-game labels as the requirement source and keep the recommendation tied to an observed bottleneck.
